Saudi Airlines Catering was established in 1981 and is a listed company since 2012 on the Saudi Stock Exchange. Over the years, the company has pressed forward with its program of continuous improvement and innovation, the business has diversified and now operates across the key sectors of Flight, Retail, Catering, and Facilities. 

The Company provides catering and other associated support services to the local and International Airlines operating within and out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including Saudi Arabian Airlines. 

Saudi Airlines Catering is committed to the key principles of Saudization and to continually reviewing practices, services, and organizational capability to support Saudi nationals across all functions and grades.

Challenge:

Transitioning shortly after, within the IPO initiative, senior officers faced the challenge of setting a foundation for the IR department that will comply with the regulatory and reporting obligations imposed on public companies.

Solution:

On this premise Sager IR supported the organization as they navigated the complexities of the IR, and responded to challenges where internal control systems have been adopted on investor relations department with a key focus for the SAC cycle pre and post IPO by institutionalizing the IR Department:

  • Prepared policies and procedures.
  • Adjusted the IR strategy for the deal roadshow and post IPO non-deal roadshows.
  • Coached the management for the pre-IPO roadshow and for post IPO investor meetings and earnings calls.
  • Developed the IR presentations and fact sheets.
  • Supported in drafting the annual report content and guided the marketing team with the creative design.

Result:

The company won best IPO for the year of listing and had a very big institutional investor base and that was well before the MSCI inclusion as well as multiple analyst coverage.
